BIODATA OF Brigadier General Bhai Krishna Khatri Executive Officer, Nepal Army Welfare Board (NAWB)

Honorary Brigadier General Bhai Krishna Khatri joined the Nepali Army on 29 December 2038 BS (11 April 1982 AD) and was commissioned as an officer on 14 March 2040 BS (28 June 1983 AD). Over his distinguished 35 years and 4 months of service, he carried out his responsibilities with utmost dedication and praiseworthy performance. Born on 5 May 2018 BS (21 August 1961 AD) in Bhaktapur District, Nangkhel V.D.C.–8, he is the son of Narendra Bahadur Khatri. An Bachelor in Arts (B.A.) graduate, he proudly served his nation until his retirement on 4 May 2074 BS (20 August 2017 AD) upon reaching the age limit.

Throughout his illustrious military career, Brig. Gen. Khatri successfully completed numerous national and international military courses and trainings, including the Officer Cadet Basic Training, Field Engineering (All Arms), Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare, Intelligence, Para Basic, Junior Staff Course (JSC), and Battalion Commander Course in Nepal. He also attended advanced training abroad such as the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare Course in India, Jungle Warfare Instructors Course in Brunei, and the NESA Executive Seminar in the USA. His extensive training and leadership expertise contributed significantly to the operational effectiveness and professional development within the Nepali Army.

In recognition of his exemplary service, Brig. Gen. Khatri undertook special UN assignments including UNIFIL (Lebanon) in BS 2041 (1985 AD) and BS 2047 (1990 AD), and UNPROFOR (Yugoslavia) in BS 2052 (1995 AD). His distinguished service was honored with several medals and decorations, such as the Pardesh Sewa Medal, Sainik Sewa Medal, Gaddi Arohan Rajat Mahotsav Padak, Birendra Aishworya Sewa Medal, Gorkha Dakshin Bahu Fourth, Sainik Dirgha Sewa Patta, and multiple United Nations Medals (Lebanon and Yugoslavia). Hon. Brigadier General Bhai Krishna Khatri stands as a model of integrity, professionalism, and patriotic devotion within the Nepali Army.
